• Captive Screws are fasteners specially designed to remain in place within an assembly when the assembly is removed. This increases safety and makes sure that the screw panel can be easily put back in place and will not expose an operator to badly replaced panels.Shoulder Screws, unlike typical screws, have an additional unthreaded “shoulder” in between the head and thread. The shoulder has a larger diameter than the thread and has a very low tolerance, which helps with the precise alignment of moving parts; the Shoulder Screw acts as both a fastener and a dowel/axel/guide.
